conference applicants notified

Women's and Gender History Symposium's organizing committee was very impressed with the proposal applications and believe this will be an incredible event. Thank you to everyone who submitted a proposal. We were so pleased to see the range of critiques invoking our conference theme, "Exploitation." Today the WGHS Programming Committee notified those applicants whose proposals were accepted. Applicants have until January 16, 2013 to confirm their acceptance. Conference registration is $25. Please send a check or money order made payable to the "University of Illinois History Department" to Tom Bedwell, Business Manager, History Department, University of Illinois, 309 Gregory Hall, 810 S. Wright St., Urbana, IL, 61801. Please note "WGHS Registration" on your check or money order. The conference will be held at the I-Hotel and Conference Center. Please call the hotel directly at 217-819-5000 to make reservations. Thirty-five rooms have been blocked at a special nightly rate of $130. The code is AWS. You may also book online. The rate begins Wednesday, Feb. 27 and ends Monday, March 4.
